Asht District
Asht district administrative district in the Sughd area Republic of Tajikistan. Formed September 29, 1926. The regional center - the settlement of urban type Shaydon, located 107 km northeast of the city of Khujand.
Geography
Asht district is located in the Fergana Valley. In the north, west and east by the Tashkent, Namangan and Ferghana regions of Uzbekistan in the south and south-east - and Gafurov Kanibodom Sughd area region of Tajikistan.
By region is an enclave Sarvak, located in the area of the Pontifical Namangan region of Uzbekistan.
