Emomali Rahmon
Biography Emomali Rakhmonov was born October 5, 1952 in the village Dangara Kulyab region of the Tajik SSR. After high school, he began working electrician creamery in Kurgan-Tube, and then from 1971 to 1974 he served as a sailor in the Pacific Fleet, and after completing military service he returned to the plant. In 1982, Rahmonov graduated from the Economics Faculty of the Tajik State University. From 1976 to 1988 worked as a secretary of the kolkhoz Dangara Kulyab region, the chairman of the trade union committee of the economy, and also held the position in the Party.
